What is silence and what is stillness?
What is a sound with no noise?
Is it a melodic sound or is it silence?
How does your mind judge what is melodic and what is noisy?
What is music to your ears and what is annoying to your ears?
In this 3D world we must judge to come to a conclusion based on our mind’s database of likes and dislikes. But there cannot be likes or dislikes unless we have at least two elements of the same kind to use them as our reference. Our mind is constantly measuring every experience we have against something similar that we have already experienced and we all do it differently because our experiences are different. So if I say, this sound has no noise, some people would think I am referring to Silence and some people would think I am referring to Something that Sounds Beautiful, but, both of them are judging Noise as BAD, so if I say This sound has No Noise, both think I am referring to something GOOD.
Now, why would Noise be BAD and how do you classify and put a sound into your list of Noise? The sound that makes you tick may be the sound that someone loves, so how can you call it bad when it is good for someone else.
It is true that building a mental and or emotional list of likes and dislikes can keep us aware of knowing what we want vs what we do not want from life and use it as our guiding system to create our reality. However, there is PEACE in IMPARCIALITY. If your mind, body and emotions can remain STILL when someone is drilling concrete next to you, it is not because you are good at ignoring the noise. It is because you do not discriminate the sound of the drilling as noise anymore. The first one is only being oblivious the second one is being impartial. You may be very good at ignoring or becoming oblivious to things that annoy you but your mind is still discriminating everything it encounters, therefore, it will store little traces of anger in you until you cannot bear it anymore. By becoming impartial, Peace will travel along with you in every path you intent to take.
In this 3D world we are surrounded by sound just as much as images. If you close your eyes right now and pay attention to the sound around you, you will hear something even if you are the only person in the room. Sound is everywhere and it can even be called “Pollution”. There are “Noise” ordinances in every city. So, is “No Noise” the same as Silence? I think becoming impartial will help you enjoy both…. Or neither.
How about sounds coming from Nature? They say “No one can hear you scream in space” However, everything in life has a resonance coming from a natural vibration, even space. Listen to the attached recording from Nasa, as the video says, it is a “true ambient space sounds that come from electronic vibrations of the planets, moons and rings, electromagnetic fields of the planets and moons, planetary magnetosphere, trapped radio waves bouncing between the planet and the inner surface of it's atmosphere, charged particle interactions of the planet, it's moons and the solar wind, and from charged particle emissions from the rings of certain planets. “ Sit down quietly, close your eyes, follow your own breath and notice the sounds of space IMPARTIALLY. Just notice the reaction of your body towards them. Let the Universe carry you and melt down into its energy. Become one with the vibrations of nature. Experience peace :)

Mariela, this is so insightful. One of the things I've tried the hardest to learn is to be objective about my own feelings, opinions, etc. I agree that being impartial is the key when it comes to issues that frustrate us - only then can we avoid the trap of trying to shape the universe into our personal desire. The NASA recording was amazing - the random electronic "noise" of space sounds a lot more like music to me :)
